Mr. Nathaniel Michael Goodnews is a distinguished administrator, strategic secretary, and civic leader with over a decade of experience in institutional governance, executive coordination, and policy implementation. A native of Epebu Community in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, he has built a legacy of service across both public and private sectors—anchored in precision, integrity, and leadership.
His career spans pivotal secretariat roles that placed him at the heart of decision-making and national advocacy. As Executive Secretary to the President of the Ijaw National Congress, Mr. Goodnews played a vital role in sustaining administrative continuity, managing high-level communications, and coordinating national engagements for Nigeria’s foremost Ijaw socio-political body. He also served as Executive Secretary of the Board of Internally Generated Revenue, Ogbia LGA, where he oversaw strategic documentation, revenue reporting, and interdepartmental liaison with local government leadership.
Earlier, as State Secretary of the National Ethics and Values (Bayelsa State), he championed ethical governance and led social reorientation campaigns across communities—laying the groundwork for civic renewal and institutional accountability.
Currently, Mr. Goodnews serves as Secretary of Adjoban Nigeria Ltd., a Port Harcourt–based marine security firm, where he bridges host communities, corporate clients, and regulatory agencies with unmatched administrative clarity. He also holds the position of Director of Operations at Nikoniel Ltd., and serves as Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Executive Chairman of Ogbia LGA.
Beyond his professional roles, he is the visionary Founder and President of the Okilo Arise Initiative, a grassroots movement dedicated to youth empowerment, governance advocacy, and community development.
Academically, Mr. Goodnews is pursuing a B.Sc. in Political Science at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. He holds a Diploma in Law from Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science, a Professional Certificate in International Diplomacy and Protocol, and a Certificate in Computer Applications.
